Prime Minister of Moldova met with the Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov

Prime Minister Ion Chicu reiterated readiness of the Government of the Republic of Moldova to improve strategic partnership with the Russian Federation, noting the need to develop bilateral relations in the political and socio-economic areas for the benefit of citizens of both states. He stated this today at a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov, MOLDPRES reports.

According to the Government’s Office of Communications and Protocol, the parties appreciated importance of enhancing a diverse dialogue, including through the Moldovan-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, the last meeting of which was held in September last year.

“Our technocratic government wants to establish friendly relations with all partners of the Republic of Moldova. It is important for us to restore partnership with the Russian Federation and increase mutual trust,” said the head of the Moldovan government.
