Sergei Shoigu will take part in the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Moldova liberation at the invitation of Igor Dodon

The President discussed upcoming events as part of a meeting with the Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov.

Igor Dodon noted that a large-scale program was scheduled to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Moldova liberation from fascism and, first of all, commemorative events on the Sharpeni bridgehead and in Chisinau, where participation of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu and the Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Galina Karelova is planned.

On this day the traditional laying of flowers will take place at the Eternity memorial, as well as at the Sharpeni bridgehead. Also on August 24 there will be an opening of the monument to Chisinau liberators, restored at the initiative of the Head of State, and in the evening a grand concert awaits residents and guests of the capital with the participation of local stars and Russian singer Elena Vaenga.
