Odisha Civil Services Prelims Exam 2024 Postponed Due To Cyclone Dana
Cyclone DANA: In view of the impending cyclonic storm DANA, the Odisha Public Service Commission(OPSC) has postponed the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination – 2023-24 scheduled to be held on October 27. As per the official notice published by the Commission, the revised date for the exam will be notified after a week.
The Commission wrote, “In view of the impending cyclonic storm ” DANA”, the OCS Preliminary Examination-2023, pursuant to Advt. 20 of 2023-24 scheduled to be held on 27.10.2024 is hereby postponed. The next date of OCS Preliminary examination-2023 shall be notified after 07 days.”
With Cyclone Dana approaching Odisha and expected to make landfall in the early hours of October 25, the state government has made extensive preparations to mitigate the cyclone’s impact. Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in Odisha and West Bengal have been placed on standby. In addition, rescue and relief teams from the Army, Navy, and Coast Guard have been put on high alert to respond swiftly if needed.
