19-year-old man held for killing 20-year-old woman in northeast Delhi

A 19-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing a 20-year-old woman in GTB Enclave in Shahdara after she refused to end her friendship with another man, a police officer said on Thursday.

The accused, identified as Rizwan, a resident of Sunder Nagri, north-east Delhi, shot the woman dead on Monday, and has been booked under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Nyaya Sanhita Nyaya Sanhita Section 103 (punishment for murder) and Arms Act. He was arrested from Karnal, Haryana, on Wednesday.

During the interrogation, Rizwan told the police that he first saw the woman in the Anand Gram area, near Ghitorni, where he worked as a welder.
