National Film Awards 2024 Winners: President Droupadi Murmu led the 70th National Film Awards ceremony today, October 8, 2024, at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi, where she recognised the contributions of various talents in Indian cinema.
One of the standout moments of the ceremony was when she bestowed the esteemed Dadasaheb Phalke Award upon veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, acknowledging his remarkable and decades-spanning career in the film industry. The event celebrated the dedication and achievements of numerous artists, with Mithun’s honor serving as a highlight of the occasion, marking his enduring legacy in Indian cinema.
President Murmu also awarded Rishab Shetty the Best Actor award for Kantara, while Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh shared the Best Actress title for Thiruchitrambalam and Kutch Express. While Gulmohar was named Best Hindi Film.
