Studied from IIT, did job for 25 years…quit job to start his own business and now earning huge amount of money

Few employees take the risk of starting their own ventures and turning them into successful businesses. One such example is Bharat Desai, who founded the IT consulting and outsourcing company, Syntel.

Desai co-founded the business with his wife, Neerja Sethi, in 1980, starting the company from their one-room flat of the apartment in Michigan with an initial investment of just $2,000. Over time, he expanded the business, and today he is a renowned billionaire with a net worth of $1.6 billion (Rs 13,501 crore).

In 1976, Bharat Desai moved to the United States while working with late Ratan Tata’s company Tata Consultancy Services. Later, he started his own business.
