'Will Nullify Waqf Bill When New Govt Comes': Mamata Banerjee Says BJP Brought It To Divide Country

Hours before the Waqf Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha in the early hours of Friday, West BengalWest BengalWest Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) brought the Bill to “divide the country".

She also pledged to bring an amendment to nullify it when a “new government is formed after ousting the current regime".

“When a new government is formed after ousting the current regime, we will bring a new amendment to nullify this Waqf Bill brought by the BJP," she told reporters.
