The AIADMK MLAs staged a walkout from the Assembly on Tuesday after their plea to raise a point was declined by the Speaker. They were not present in the House when Minister K.R. Periakaruppan and R. Sakkarapani gave their replies in the House.
After AIADMK legislator K. Ashok Kumar’s speech in the Assembly, AIADMK deputy floor leader R.B. Udhayakumar sought his party members a chance to respond to contentions made by Minister KR. Periakaruppan.
After their persistent requests, Speaker maintained that they would be allowed to speak after the Ministers completed their replies. However, the AIADMK MLAs did not relent.
