Apurva Asrani calls out netizens for differential reactions to Milind Soman, Poonam Pandey’s nude photos

National Award-winning film editor and screenplay writer Apurva Asrani recently took to his Twitter handle to call out netizens' double standards and differential reactions towards Poonam Pandey and Milind Soman's nude photos.

Apurva shared pictures of both actors and expressed his views on the stark difference in social media users' reaction to the two posts, in general, calling out the ingrained gender bias in society.

Highlight the hypocrisy in Indian society over the idea of nudity, comparing the news around actors Milind Soman and Poonam Pandey, Asrani wrote, "#PoonamPandey & #MilindSoman both stripped down to their birthday suits in #Goa recently. Pandey partly, Soman completely. Pandey is in legal trouble--for obscenity. Soman is being lauded for his fit body at age 55. I guess we are kinder to our nude men than to our nude women (sic)."
