J&K CM Omar Abdullah fumes as Delhi-bound IndiGo flight gets diverted to Jaipur
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday blasted the Delhi airport after his flight to the national capital was reportedly diverted to Jaipur on Saturday night, prompting him to take to his social media platform X to vent his frustration.
Sharing a selfie of him at the Jaipur airport at 1 am, Abdullah, while stranded at Jaipur Airport, wrote in a late-night post: "Delhi airport is a bloody shit show (excuse my French, but I’m in no mood to be polite). 3 hours in the air after we left Jammu we get diverted to Jaipur & so here I am at 1 in the morning on the steps of the plane getting some fresh air. I’ve no idea what time we will leave from here."
Meanwhile, as many as six flights were cancelled at the Srinagar airport on Saturday as inclement weather disrupted the air traffic to and from the Valley. Many flyers experienced chaotic scenes at the Jammu airport where hundreds were left stranded after several flights got delayed and cancelled, affecting several connecting flights as well.
